The New Millennium Hood Blocks have been carefully engineered by Ron Rollins over the last few years to give the hoods a superb fit. They have greater eye clearance than other blocks on the market and this aspect has proven to make the hoods much more comfortable for your hawk. The symmetry of the blocks and patterns is to a very fine tolerance. The Ron Rollins blocks are constructed of solid high-density acrylic in a new grey color.
Each block or set of Ron Rollins New Millennium blocks is bundled with 2 patterns: Dutch pattern and a Dutch-type pattern with Arabic closure on the back. The beak opening has been further improved from previous models. The patterns are drafted with an AutoCad-type program for accuracy down to the thousandth of an inch and they are laminated between two 3 mil clear plastic sheets insuring the pattern will remain accurate over the long run with crisp edges.
How to use this chart: Look at the sex and species of the hawk you are trying to fit and notice that there will be a small range of sizes within the overall chart that fit that particular hawk. Choose the size that will best fit your particular specimen. (ie: The female Harris' Hawk will be in a range from 55 to 61. Determine the species or size of your hawk relative to Harris' Hawks listed in the range.) The millimeter measurement that denotes the size of the hood block is a measurement of the widest part of the block across the eyes. Contact us here in the office if you need further help.
