This is perhaps our most popular long-cuff elk skin gauntlet. These gloves are double thickness in the perch areas and measures approximately 14" from tip of index finger to end of cuff. This elk skin is very soft yet durable. It comes with a "D" ring attached so that you may affix your favorite strap and clip system. They also have one of those tassels which are so common to falconry gauntlets attached to the bottom - designed for hanging up your glove on a hook when not in use.
Care of your falconry glove: We recommend that you do not use oil on falconry gloves as it can harbor disease causing pathogens which can also attack thread and fibers in the leather.
Instead, if you feel you do need to treat them with something, then they should be treated with falconry jesse (jess) grease. See related items below. Actually, for the health of your hawk, we recommend that you begin each hawking season with a new glove! Always discard your glove if the hawk has been sick and is being treated to avoid reinfection.
