Description

This weighted base eliminates the need to stake the bownet to the ground. It is designed for use with this 5′ diameter bownet. (See Product FE3208B and FE3208C or the related links below.)

This base both unfolds and folds quickly for deployment or transport. This base enables set up of the bownet on hard or very soft surfaces where stakes would not hold it in place sufficiently. It can be used with the string pulled manual trigger that is included with the five-foot bownet but it is also designed for the attachment of the long range remote release.  If one were to use the weighted base without the electronic release, then zip tie the base to the bownet in the location of where the elecrtronic release would be placed and use the manual release with a line.

This weighted base also allows the bownet to be pre-set and transported in a truck or van for fast deployment in the field. It weighs approximately 14 pounds and will hold any birds that one might capture with the bownet.
