This painting by Robert Katona is the first in this series and depicts Anatum Peregrines at the Ralston Butte Eyrie in Colorado. While in high school, Robert and his friends discovered this cliff in the Flatirons, south of Boulder. The painting protrays an overcast day at the moment when the screaming female landed on the rock in front of them while the male flew overhead. The nesting ledge is on the cliff to the left under the overhand with the Ralston Valley & Golden Colorado in the distance. Measures: 22 1/2" x 29".
